The mock-up shown represents a portion of the main facade of the Main Building at the new ELESA Giga Factory complex in Monza—a perfect example of how design and technology come together to shape a cutting-edge architectural project.
A Unitized Curtain Wall System
The facade is built using Zanetti’s ZA52_MF unitized curtain wall system, made of 6060 aluminum alloy profiles and high-performance triple-glazed selective glass with structural sealing. This combination ensures excellent durability, thermal insulation, and abundant natural light.
Its visual impact is enhanced by the vertical offset of mullions between the two facade levels, as well as a grid of light grey aluminum box elements. Together, these features create a dynamic, modular surface that amplifies the architectural character of the building.
The system also incorporates a motorized top-hung concealed vent, equipped with the Mingardi EVO2 actuator, combining functionality with sleek aesthetics. Inside, the slim, white-painted structural profiles maximize the glazed surface area, offering excellent outward visibility and superior color performance.
